A meeting of representatives of the V4 Group states is taking place in Budapest with the slogan “V4 Presidency of Hungary – Recharging Europe”, highlighting the latest trends in tourism related to technology, sustainable development and educational projects. The event is organised by the Hungarian Tourism Organisation.

Weiwei Stork is a new mascot of Poland, designed to promote our country on the Chinese market. The Polish Tourism Organisation and the Polish Institute in Beijing want to capitalise on the popularity of the mascot phenomenon in connection with the recent 2022 Winter Olympics.

The marketing campaign called “Now vs. Later” conducted by the International Office of the Polish Tourism Organisation in London has been nominated for the TravMedia 2021 Award in the Best Online Campaign category. It was among the top 5 advertising campaigns carried out in the UK by national tourist organisations in 2020. The TravMedia Awards is one of the most prestigious competitions in the tourist industry.

The Polish Tourism Organisation won the Best Stand Award at the 2022 FITUR International Tourism Fair. The Polish stand was recognised for its creative presentation of the offer and the professionalism of our tourism industry.

The 2022 FITUR International Tourism Fair started in Madrid on 19 January. The Polish Tourism Organisation had prepared a large and one-of-a-kind stand at which 11 exhibitors - Polish cities, regions and tour operators - presented their offer. This was the first industry event on a global scale this year.

On Thursday, 23 December, the Minister of Sport and Tourism appointed Anna Salamończyk-Mochel, former Vice-President of the Polish Tourism Organisation, as the Acting President of the Polish Tourism Organisation.

Messe Berlin, the organisers of ITB Berlin 2022, have announced the cancellation of the event which was due to take place from 9 to 13 March 2022 in an in-person formula. Instead, the fair will be organised virtually. 

The Polish Tourism Organisation has released a series of podcasts entitled “Viaggio in Polonia” in Italy. This is an innovative promotional product on the Italian market, co-run with Lonely Planet Italia. The first series consists of 6 episodes in which Poland is presented by the voice of the well-known radio journalist Doris Zaccone and many guest speakers, including mainly Italians living in Poland and enamoured with it.

The 4th Tourist Blogger Championship is now behind us. The winners were the representatives of the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship – Hasające Zające. Voyagerka from Łódź came in second, and the podium also featured My na szlaku, supported by the Regional Tourism Organisation of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
