
The 4th National Conference of Institutes and Departments of Tourism of State-Owned Higher Education Institutions, organised by the Department of Tourism of the Poznań University of Economics, has come to an end. It was devoted to the theme of Tourism and the developments in the modern world, and was attended by about 80 people.
During the official opening addresses, Mr. Bartłomiej Walas, Vice-President of the Polish Tourist Organisation, presented “Concepts for the support of enterprises and network products in the marketing strategy of Poland in the tourism industry for 2014-2020”.
During the event, Mr. Krzysztof Celuch, head of the Poland Convention Bureau of the PTO, gave a presentation encouraging Polish academics who work in the field of tourism to participate in the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program.
The Polish Congress Ambassadors Program is implemented jointly by the Polish Tourist Organisation and an NGO – the Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association. Its aim is to promote Poland as a destination for holding international conferences and congresses.
The aim of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program is for Poles who work in international organisations, e.g. scientists and professionals from various industries, to attract congresses to Poland and to provide effective support in attracting such events to our country.
