The second day of the Forum of the Polish Tourism Organisation and Regional and Local Tourist Organisations was dedicated to workshop meetings. Representatives of regional tourist organisations and municipal offices concentrated on problems associated with cooperation in promotional activities, with special attention paid to the specificity of countries with Polish Tourism Organisation International Centres. The dominating motif of the two Forum days consisted of essential questions pertaining to the under way amendment of the Act on the Polish Tourism Organisation. 

The annual Forum of the Polish Tourism Organisation and Regional and Local Tourist Organisations, attended also by directors of Polish Tourism Organisation International Centres, became an occasion for exchanging comments, observations, and new ideas about the promotion of Poland and the development of the tourism industry. The conference was opened by Dariusz Rogowski, Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, and Dr Robert Andrzejczyk, President of the Polish Tourism Organisation.

Representatives of the most prominent regional and municipal Convention Bureaus arrived at the seat of the Polish Tourism Organisation in Warsaw for a meeting with President Robert Andrzejczyk. The topic of the talks concerned, i.a. ways of promoting the meetings industry in the coming year (2018).  

The last day of World Travel Market in London, similarly as the first two days, abounded with meetings with invited guests and representatives of the media and the tourism industry.  

A session of the Council of the Polish Tourism Organisation took place in POT’s seat on 9 November. Members of this body unanimously approved the candidature of Agnieszka Jędrzejczak-Wojciechowska to the office of the POT Vice-President.  

While concluding competition proceedings, the President of the Polish Tourism Organisation recommended to the POT Council the candidature of Agnieszka Jędrzejczyk-Wojciechowska for the office of Vice-President. The Polish Tourism Organisation Council unanimously passed a resolution approving the candidate.

On 1-6 November the Polish Tourism Organisation played host to a group of 35 Russian travel agencies interested in our country as a tourist destination. This is already the 14th meeting whose target is the promotion of Poland on the Russian tourist market.  

In 2018 the Polish Tourism Organisation will implement innovative online projects aiding the promotion of Poland as a country attractive for tourists. This initiative is part of a new strategy of promoting Poland by applying new media and digital culture.  

President of the Polish Tourism Organisation Dr Robert Andrzejczyk spoke on the Polish Radio Three channel about health tourism, which each year is becoming an increasingly significant component of tourism as a whole. Andrzejczyk stressed that a combination of free time and health treatments is a worldwide trend – this is the reason why the Polish Tourism Organisation is becoming engaged in supporting Polish entrepreneurs involved in health tourism industry.  

IV TIC Expert Meeting, the only European event to deal with tourist information, took place in Budapest on 26-27 October. Poland was represented by Director of the E-Information Department at the Polish Tourism Organisation Magdalena Ragus and a representative of the Gdańsk Tourist Organisation
