In August 2012, the Warsaw Convention Bureau and the Poland Convention Bureau entered into an agreement to systematise the activities towards the joint promotion of Warsaw and Poland. With the agreement, the parties agreed to take action which includes, but is not limited to, joint participation in fair events, the organisation of study visits, procuring meetings and events for the region and maintaining cooperation with international trade associations.
Furthermore, as part of conducting national actions and selecting reliable partners, the WCB and the PCB have agreed to be actively involved in the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme, as well as to pursue a recommendation programme for organisers of congresses and incentive events and service providers. Importantly, this cooperation also aims at fine-tuning the system of collecting and compiling statistical data used for drawing up reports on the meetings industry for both Poland and Warsaw.
It is our belief that the Agreement will strengthen and facilitate cooperation between the bureaux and deepen their relationship as they pursue joint promotional measures.
