On 22-24 April 2012, the Poland Convention Bureau PTO, as the only exhibitor from Central Europe, took part in the industry meeting, “Inspire Your Business” in Austria, organised by Events, a leading German magazine. The event was to facilitate meetings between German conference planners and destination representatives. The schedule also included seminars and incentive elements available to all attendees, which was conducive to establishing contacts.
The event was attended by over 70 meeting organisers from the German market. Poland aroused great interest, with more than 30 meetings held every day, presenting the Polish meetings organisation capabilities.
The previous editions of this event were held in Portugal and on a ship heading for Norway. Organisers deliberately select venues outside Germany to prevent the participation of random persons in the events. “Inspire Your Event” creates the conditions for presenting a given destination in a friendly atmosphere. Despite lower attendance during fairs, it gives an opportunity to reach all planners and establish durable business contacts.
