The report “Poland Meetings and Events Industry Report 2013” was presented for the very first time worldwide during the IMEX fair in Frankfurt taking place on 23 May. It is already the fourth edition of the only all-Poland publication showing the size and income from meetings industry. Over 22,300 meetings and events, further cities and regions taking part in the research and involvement of academic circles are only selected novelties of this year’s publication.
The report is a tool which is to attest for the important role of the meetings industry in the development of the economy in Poland. The analysis of meetings industry has been prepared in line with the norms adopted in the study on meetings-related tourism “Measuring the Economic Importance of the Meetings Industry Developing a Tourism Satellite Account Extension” developed by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and its affiliated members.
The “Poland Meetings and Events Industry Report 2013” was prepared by the Poland Convention Bureau Polish Tourist Organisation in cooperation with regional CBx, facilities, the Warsaw School of Economics and Cracow University of Economics.
