The first three days of February were highly inspiring, both for tourists and the industry. Poznań hosted the jubilee 30th anniversary edition of TOUR SALON Trade Fair of Regions and Tourist Products. Polish Tourism Organisation received an award for a stand most conducive to the implementation of marketing strategies.

City tourism was the leitmotif of a promotional meeting held by Polish Tourism Organisation International Office in London for key representatives of Irish media, crucial tour operators and regional tourist organisations.

POT’s Beijing office in cooperation with Polish Institute, Department of Culture of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beijing, Seba Amber and Millennium City Park in Kaifeng opened the “Neverending Bond” Polish cultural exhibition celebrating 70 years of political relations between Poland and China, as well as the “One Belt, One Road” initiative connecting the two countries.

Organised by European Travel Commission in partnership with the city of Kraków and European Cities Marketing, the conference on Managing Sustainable Tourism Growth in Europe was held in Kraków on 6 February 2019. Polish Tourism Organisation hosted the event connected with the fourth annual meeting of European Travel Commission operation groups.

The FITUR 2019 International Tourism Fair in Madrid broke another record by drawing close to 143,000 professionals (an increase of 1.8%) and close to 100,000 visitors on days open to the public. Polish Tourism Organisation was among the participants and showcased a brand-new national booth.

Polish Tourism Organisation took part in The New York Times Travel Show, where it promoted Poland’s incoming offer. The event also involved POT’s partners: Polish Airlines LOT, Real Poland, GM Travel and AMTA.

MATKA Nordic Travel Fair, the largest event aimed at industry professionals and consumers to be staged in Northern Europe, wrapped up in Helsinki.

Thanks to the efforts of Polish Tourism Organisation our country for the very first time was the production location of a Chinese reality show. 20-Something Adventurers, an adventure reality show featuring the Rocket Girls 101 group, is now available for streaming in China.

Polish Tourism Organisation International Office in Beijing took part in a tourist offer presentation at a lavish gala staged by HCG International Travel Group Co. Ltd., one of the three largest suppliers of European tourist products in the Chinese market.

More than 155,000 participants attended this year’s edition of Vienna-based Ferien Messe trade fair combined with the Vienna Autoshow trade show. The event in the capital of Austria took place on 9-13 January.
