
Public transport in Wrocław allows you to reach all interesting places throughout the city. Its dense network covers more than 1200 km, also outside the city due to public transportation serviced by MPK (Municipal Transport Company), covering the area of metropolis and its surroundings.
The public transportation is in service 7 days a week and 24 hours a day – thanks to a network of night lines. A high emphasis is put on environmental protection issues and on providing the fast and comfortable journey.
A network of Wrocław public transportation consists of 22 tram lines and 83 bus lines (including 15 night lines). Passengers can enjoy a modern fleet of trams and buses, meeting the standards of a modern dynamic metropolis.
Every year MPK travels about 35 000 000 km across the city having about 25 000 000 passengers. This is all due to work of 768 bus drivers and 568 tram drivers equipped with 213 buses and 225 trams. Year by year the amount of vehicles of public transport is rising in brand new trams and buses to make journey across the city fast and comfortable.
Depending on the length of stay – single, daily, weekend, time tickets, 30- and 90- days tickets are available in ticket machines (can be found in every tram and bus!), kiosks and stores all around the city and even on the mobile phone!
