Between 29 May and 1 June 2011 in Warsaw there was a study visit for the representatives of the International Pediatric Transplant Association (IPTA), whose tasks include publicising information on the broad medical discipline which is paediatric transplant medicine. IPTA also runs education and training programmes for professionals in the field.
Warsaw is being considered as the venue for the 7th IPTA Congress in 2013. The Poland Convention Bureau supported the idea of organising the event in Poland and helped Maestro Meetings & Incentives organise a study visit. The representatives of the IPTA had the opportunity to see Warsaw’s capabilities for organising a meeting for 550 people, which confirmed the strong position of the Polish candidature.
The programme involved visits to luxury hotels in the city centre – The Polonia Palace, The Intercontinental, and The Marriott, a day-long tour, and a presentation of restaurant menus characteristic of Polish cuisine.
