The Convention Bureau of Poland has launched a series of presentations promoting Poland as an attractive business destination on its priority markets of Germany, France and Great Britain. The presentations in the series the Roadshow “Polska. Move Your Imagination” are to take place on 31 March in Frankfurt, on 19 April in London, and on 5 May in Paris.
The Roadshow “Polska. Move Your Imagination” is a project aimed at CBP’s partners – both the holders of PTO Convention Bureau of Poland certificates and city/regional Convention Bureaux. The project’s main premise is the joint promotion of Poland based on presenting the conference potential of a city/region or the profile of a company’s activities, and the possibility of establishing immediate trade contacts with meeting planners on the specific market. Each Roadshow is supported by a Leading Partner and other Partners, who fund vouchers for a 2-day stay in Poland.
The Roadshow “Polska. Move Your Imagination” in Frankfurt took place in the Depot 1989 restaurant, and was organised as a workshop-dinner. The partners in the presentation were the Gdańsk Convention Bureau (the Leading Partner and the sponsor of the dinner), and Grupa Trip (Zakopane), Haxel (Warsaw/Kraków), the Katowice Convention Bureau, Mazurkas Travel (Warsaw), and Symposium Cracovience (Kraków). The roadshow started with cocktails, during which the guests could get acquainted with the Polish range of services at the Partners’ individual stands. The main “Polska. Move Your Imagination” presentation followed, prepared by the following partners:
- The Gdańsk Convention Bureau presented a promotional film about the new hotel-conference infrastructure of Gdańsk and the Pomeranian Region, and about Gdańsk’s participation in UEFA Euro 2012;
- Grupa Trip described its rich hotel network and potential for organising meetings in central and southern Poland;
- Haxel presented its range of incentives services in Poland;
- The Katowice Convention Bureau encouraged organisers to hold business meetings in their agglomeration;
- Mazurkas Travel presented Warsaw’s conference potential;
- Symposium Cracovience based its presentation on Kraków’s promotional film, seeing it as more memorable than a static slideshow.
The evening featured an illusionist’s performance (magic tricks to stir the guest’s imagination) and a buffet with “molecular” desserts to whet their appetite – both emphasised the “Polska. Move Your Imagination” campaign and added flavour to the evening.
The workshop was attended by 40 German meeting planners, professionaly selected by the trade magazine CIM (Conference & Incentive Management). All participants in the Roadshow “Polska. Move Your Imagination” unanimously expressed their approval of the Project – the Partners were satisfied with the selection of meeting planners, and the invited guests emphasised that this way of promotion was the best form of presenting destinations.
