Between 28 and 31 July of this year participants from all over the world attended the Site Young Leaders Academy. The leading subjects discussed were the issue of motivation, trends in tourism, and marketing by means of social networking media. Lecturers from Mexico, USA, Canada, and Great Britain not only updated the members of SITE on the latest developments in the above fields but also discussed technological novelties.
Several days earlier the MPI World Educational Congress took place, with over 2000 participants. This event featured more than 100 educational meetings which focused on activity, cooperation and the exchange of experiences across people holding similar positions. The congress was accompanied by the premiere of MPI’s new marketing campaign and a global meeting of industry leaders. Once again it was presided over by the European Sébastien Tondeur, MCI’s President in Switzerland.
At both events the Poland Convention Bureau was represented by Krzysztof Celuch, who took part in discussion panels and lectures at both conferences, presenting, among other things, the PTO’s Unique Venues publication. The MPI Congress was also attended by Michał Maziarczyk, a graduate of Vistula University, and winner of the MPI Foundation Youth Award.
