Poland is starting a series of international trade associations meetings. During each event the Poland Convention Bureau of the PTO will be promoting the advantages of particular cities and regions for conference purposes.
This Wednesday, 6 July, over 120 delegates will visit Gdańsk to participate in a conference within ICCA Research Sales & Marketing Programme. This conference for meetings industry representatives is a perfect opportunity to exchange information and views, and to bring new conferences to Poland. In addition to educational sessions, the participants will have the opportunity to sightsee Gdańsk, admire nature in the Słowiński National Park and visit the Malbork Castle and the Gniew Castle.
More than a month later, Gdańsk will host another conference – the ICCA Central European Chapter Meeting. Issues touched upon during this meeting will include demographic change in the meetings and events industry, the issue of EU funds, and the influence of business tourism on the development of regions.
Soon after the meeting at the seaside, another meeting will take place in the south of Poland. From 27 till 31 August in Kraków, the 25th annual series of ECM Summer School trainings will be organised, addressing people starting their careers as business tourism professionals. The programme includes workshops on such issues as acquiring customers using ICCA and UIA associations databases, the essentials of the Convention Bureaux and associations’ operations, and the ways of effectively responding to queries.
Meeting reports will be available on our site soon!
