On 28 June 2011 a study visit of representatives of the International Academy of Management and Business (IAMB) took place. They came to Warsaw from the United States and Turkey.
The aim of the study visit was to confirm the reception potential of Warsaw to organise the 12th IAMB conference which is to be held on 23 – 25 April 2012. The organisers of the event plan to host 150-200 guests from Poland and abroad. The Vistula University (formerly University of Economics and Computer Sciences in Warsaw) is IAMB’s Polish partner.
Conferences held by the International Academy of Management and Business (IAMB) are a platform for professionals, scientists, teachers and students who are engaged in business and management during which the latest research on those subjects is promoted.
Two IAMB conferences are held every year. Up till now they were organised in such cities as Madrid, Istanbul, Orlando, Las Vegas, New Orleans, San Diego, and Singapore. The IAMB conference will therefore be the first conference held in the region of Eastern Europe. The next conferences are planned to be organised in San Francisco and on Bali.
During the short visit the guests, together with a representative of Poland Convention Bureau, visited the Warsaw hotels Marriott, Radisson Blu and Metropol (accommodation for students).
