The sports infrastructure development facilitates the organization of many world-level sports events in Bydgoszcz. At the modernized City Stadium the 12th IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics were held in 2008.
The ”Łuczniczka” Sports and Entertainment Hall hosts such events as EuroBasket and European Women’s Volleyball Championships. Speedway fans gather every year at the Polonia Stadium to witness the struggle of world best competitors during the Speedway Grand Prix series. The Forest Park of Culture and Leisure “Myślęcinek”, located only 3 km from the city centre is a perfect place for those who love active way of spending time outdoors. The Entertainment Park, the Polish Fauna Garden, the Centre of Horse Recreation, golf course and ski-slope are just some of the attractions in this 800-ha complex.
