Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities, who is planning to organize association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realize our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organizers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with Polish business sector within Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organizers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on Polish meeting industry, in accordance with the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.
The Polish Tourism Organization is a member of the meetings industry associations: International Congress and Convention Association and Union of International Associations.
During IMEX 2019 PRO SKY Airport & Inflight Services presented Poland Convention Bureau POT with a diploma recognising Poland as one of eight destinations of the future as selected by 218 German planners of meetings and events participating in a study used to compile PRO SKY Destination Report 2019.
As is the case each year, Polish Tourism Organisation is the organiser of the Polish national stand (G440) at the IMEX exhibition, one of the most important events of the meetings industry. This year’s offer additionally featured a happy hours meeting arranged by Poland Convention Bureau POT together with SITE Poland.
Poland with 211 meetings secured 19th spot (out of 110) in the latest ranking published by International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) on 13 May 2019. For another year in a row Poland held a stable position in the listing and is the only Visegrád Group member state to be ranked in the top twenty.
University of Wrocław will stage the 13th edition of the General Conference of European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). The largest event of this type in Europe, it will be attended by political scientists and scholars involved in the discipline of social science.
Krzysztof Kozłowski, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, signed an agreement to stage Interpol’s European Regional Conference in Katowice. The sessions will take place in the International Congress Centre on 29-31 May.
Katowice will host the 11th edition of the European Economic Congress. Scheduled to take place on 13-15 May, the largest economy-themed undertaking of this kind in Central Europe will gather 11,500 listeners from all over the world. Warsaw authorities gave their go-ahead to the construction of a brand-new concert hall that will also feature conference and training rooms. Sinfonia Varsovia Centrum will be located in the Warsaw district of Praga. Atelier Thomas Pucher of Graz is its main designer.

On the 22-24 of May 2019 Warsaw will host the first IFA European Region Conference devoted to current challenges to income and VAT taxation in Europe. It is expected to gather over 300 people from Europe and the whole world.

On 5-9 December representatives of Scandinavian meetings industry’s key companies stayed in Poland for a fam trip staged by Poland Convention Bureau POT, supported by Stockholm-based Polish Tourism Organisation International Office (ZOPOT) and conducted in cooperation with Warsaw Marriott Hotel, Warsaw Convention Bureau, Kraków Convention Bureau, Małopolska Tourist Organisation and PURO Kazimierz in Kraków.
