Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of the Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.

We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities who is planning to organise an association congress or a corporate event in Poland.

Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realise our mission through:

  • participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
  • organising study tours for foreign journalists and organisers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
  • gaining new business events for Poland;
  • cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
  • cooperating with city convention bureaux;
  • networking with the Polish business sector within the Recommendation Program for  Professional Congress Organisers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
  • networking with the Polish scientific community within the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
  • cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
  • collection and elaboration of statistical data on the Polish meeting industry, by the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.

City Destinations Alliance Summer School Gdansk

37th CityDNA Summer School in Gdańsk: a recap

From 26 to 30 August, Gdańsk hosted the participants of the 37th edition of the CityDNA Summer School. This important event, organised by the City Destinations Alliance, had been acquired for Poland by the Gdańsk Convention Bureau. The four-day training session, aimed mainly at people starting their careers in the MICE industry, not only had a packed agenda but also created an excellent opportunity to establish numerous contacts with representatives of the meetings industry.

On 22-25 June 2023, a fam trip for SITE Poland members took place under the name “Świętokrzyskie Czaruje” (“The Świętokrzyskie Region Enchants”). BBT's 23rd edition MICE fair in Brussels. Poland draws attention as an attractive MICE destination

On 26 June, the 23rd edition of workshops for the meetings and events industry organised by the Belgian platform BBT Online took place in the Royal Library in Brussels. Poland was represented by Aneta Książek from Poland Convention Bureau and Dominika Szulc from the PTO International Office in Brussels. The participants of the event were 120 selected representatives of corporations and associations as well as organisers of business events, including conferences and incentive trips from the Belgian market.

During the IMEX trade show in Frankfurt, at the Polish national stand, we sang a specially created song for this occasion. Brian Allan and Basia Giewont were our musical ambassadors in Germany, and with their performances, they generated a lot of positive emotions among the guests and exhibitors at Messe Frankfurt.
