On 28 October 2013, a meeting inaugurating Łódź Convention Bureau activity was held in the Conference Centre of the Łódź Special Economic Zone. The event was attended by over 80 persons, including representatives of the meetings industry, cultural facilities and the media. Guests were formally welcomed by Mayor of Łódź – Hanna Zdanowska.
The formal part covered also presentation delivered by Bartłomiej Wojdak – Director of the Bureau of Promotion, Tourism and International Cooperation in the Łódź City Hall, on “Business tourism as trade mark tourism product of Łódź”. Next, Anna Mokrosińska – Łódź Convention Bureau coordinator presented assumptions and framework action plan of ŁCB. Karolina Gajewska – representative of the PCB of the Polish Tourist Organisation, was also present at the meeting. She read a letter from the President of the Polish Tourist Organisation and talked about activities of the PCB of the Polish Tourist Organisation, as the national Convention Bureau.
Apart from the formal part, the meeting participants also had a chance to tour the city and visit venues adapted to organisation of meetings and events.
