On 10-12 January 2014 the Exhibition and Congress Centre seated at ul. Wrocławska 158 in Opole inaugurated its business with the EXPO Opole fair. It is the first modern facility of that type in the Opole region.
The Exhibition and Congress Centre in Opole is a modern, multifunctional facility tailored to accommodate various events. A functional exhibition and conference space with mobile, soundproof walls and rich infrastructure will meet the needs of organisers of: fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conferences and cultural, sports, fashion and corporate events.
The multifunctional hall is fitted with a system of mobile and soundproof walls that make it possible to arrange the space for the needs of a planned event. The facility is well adjusted to accommodate congresses and conferences; events for 2,500 people can take place within the main plate. The hall area can be divided into four zones. A conference room with 200 seats is also available on the first floor, and it can be divided into three smaller rooms.
The sound and multimedia systems in place make it possible to simultaneously organise conferences with the use of state-of-the-art presentation sources. The Centre has at its disposal four simultaneous translation booths with LCD screens, eight projectors, eight projections screens, the largest of which is a 16:9 and 1150 x 650 cm screen. The facility is also equipped with a modular stage that can be extended to cover 100 m2 and with mobile tribunes; it also has professional wardrobes and staff rooms.
The centre has a cosy hall, cloakroom, entresol, storage areas and food and beverage supply facilities, the most modern multimedia solutions, Wi-Fi internet and an automatic control roller blind system, which makes it possible to make the rooms darker.
The guests can use a 300-slot car park and space for coaches and delivery vans. The zones outside the facility with an area of 2,000 m2 are a perfect place for outdoor events.
The Conference and Exhibition Centre in Opole will be an important business environment institution, which is demonstrated by the tight schedule calendar filled for the first half of 2014.
The first event that will take place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre is the fair: “EXPO Opole – Business with no limits”, which presents the heritage and attractions of Opole and its region.
The EXPO Opole fair is covered by an honorary patronage by the Marshal of the Opolskie Voivodeship and the President of the City of Opole. The EXPO Opole opening ceremony will be held on Friday, 10 January 2014 at 14:00.
