Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of the Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities who is planning to organise an association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realise our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organisers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with the Polish business sector within the Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organisers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on the Polish meeting industry, by the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.

Northstar Meeting Group’s bi-weekly survey captures how the meetings industry responds and adapts to the changing conditions brought by the threat posed by COVID-19. The survey assesses the impact of the worldwide pandemic on meeting planners, including their job status, business plans and projections for the future of events.
The MPI association inaugurated a survey exploring the vision of the meetings industry in the near post-corona future. The results discussed below are based on 400 responses gathered thus far from a respondent pool of 55% planners and 41% suppliers.

The first online Kraków Network conference was staged on 30 April to inaugurate a series of regular meetings. As a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, new regulations were introduced to prevent the disease from spreading. As a result, many organisers are announcing their plans to reschedule meetings and events to a later date. In addition, some events are undergoing rearrangement and will apply a different formula, taking advantage of available online tools.
The new Nobu lifestyle hotel is being developed in Warsaw in place of the former Rialto hotel. The global brand was created by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro and film producer Meir Teper. The hotel will welcome its first guests already in June.

The second edition of Meetings & Incentives Healthcare Europe was staged in Finlandia Hall in Helsinki on 11-13 February 2020. Polish representatives attended for the first time, both exhibitors and invited hosted buyers.
EventSummit, the largest event in the Dutch market to be dedicated to the event industry, was staged in Rotterdam (Netherlands) on 30 January 2020 and featured both a business section and seminars.
The most important event of the meetings industry – Meetings Week Poland – will be staged in the Palace of Culture and Science congress centre in Warsaw on 22-24 April 2020. 2nd International Conference “Historical cities in search of a premium tourist” is planned on 11-12 of March 2020 at ICE Kraków Congress Centre as a part of the Historical Cities 3.0 project, whose main goal is to discuss problems, experiences, solutions used in historical cities, exclusively in the aspect of tourism development.
We can safely say that 2019 was focused on the theme of cooperation within the industry, both on a domestic and international scale. Each year Poland is becoming an increasingly attractive region for international meetings and business events. The growth of the meetings industry is among the promotional priorities of Polish Tourism Organisation, whose structures encompass the Poland Convention Bureau section.
LOT Polish Airlines join ICCA (International Congress & Convention Association), unites over 1,100 members in almost 100 countries around the world, including key carriers and airline alliances. LOT will be one of the two airlines representing the Central European region.
