Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of the Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.

We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities who is planning to organise an association congress or a corporate event in Poland.

Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realise our mission through:

  • participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
  • organising study tours for foreign journalists and organisers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
  • gaining new business events for Poland;
  • cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
  • cooperating with city convention bureaux;
  • networking with the Polish business sector within the Recommendation Program for  Professional Congress Organisers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
  • networking with the Polish scientific community within the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
  • cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
  • collection and elaboration of statistical data on the Polish meeting industry, by the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.

Business tourism in the heart of Warmia and Mazury

On 08-09.10.2015 the first edition of Tourism and Events Expo (TEE) will take place at Expo Arena, Exhibition and Conference Centre of Warmia and Mazury in Ostroda. This event is a modern approach to the market of tourist services with a business formula (B2B), addressed to the tourism industry and MICE.  Thanks to a large group of exhibitors and visitors from abroad, it will be a great promotion of Poland on the international stage.

Polish accent in MPI Board

The Board Development Committee has completed its work and has developed a slate of officers and directors for the 2016 Board of Directors to present to the membership. Given the governance changes MPI made in the last year this was a challenging task for the committee to complete, as MPI faced the task of reducing the size of the board, while sorting through a deep pool of potential candidates.  All the more gratifying that among professionals from all over the world is a Polish man.

The great banquet at EXPO Krakow

The starters for almost 1500 guests were served in only 9 minutes! It took almost 500 kilograms of duck to prepare the main dish. To handle the event  150 people were hired. There were professional cooks, waiters, bartenders, security guards and hostesses. 3 huge trucks transported tableware, porcelain and glassware.

#IMEX15 has concluded

The next edition of IMEX, the international meetings industry trade fair was held on 19-21 May in Frankfurt. As each year, Poland Convention Bureau of Polish Tourist Organisation has organised the Polish national booth, where regional Convention Bureaus, companies operating in the organisation of meetings and conference facilities presented their offers.

Torun Convention Bureau Copernicus at IMEX #G460

Torun, one of the most beautiful cities in Poland, was founded in 1233 by the Teutonic Order.  Torun Old Town presents an original spatial and architectural system that has existed for many centuries. In 1997, the city was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites because the gothic tenement houses, churches, granaries, town hall, defence walls, gates and street system, all look the same as hundreds of years ago.

Summary of Meetings Week Poland 2015

On 16-20 March 2015, at the Conference Centre of the National Stadium, the Meetings Week Poland was held – a marathon of conference events promoting the importance of the meetings industry in Poland. Almost one thousand representatives of the meetings industry participated in the conferences and workshops as part of the Meetings Week Poland.
