Poland Convention Bureau was created in 2002 as a department of the Polish Tourism Organisation and is responsible for the promotion of Poland as an attractive destination for meetings and business events.
We are the first contact for anyone seeking information on business partners and conference facilities who is planning to organise an association congress or a corporate event in Poland.
Our main goal is to build the image of Poland as an attractive country for organising of all types of business events. We realise our mission through:
participating in international business fairs, which results in gaining new business contacts;
organising study tours for foreign journalists and organisers of meetings and business events, including conferences, congresses, product launches, incentives;
gaining new business events for Poland;
cooperating with foreign media and posting articles and advertisements promoting Poland as a business destination in business press and directories;
cooperating with city convention bureaux;
networking with the Polish business sector within the Recommendation Program for Professional Congress Organisers, Recommendation Program for Incentive Travel Companies;
networking with the Polish scientific community within the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program;
cooperating with international organisations and associations of meeting industry professionals;
collection and elaboration of statistical data on the Polish meeting industry, by the recommendations of international organisations such as ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association and the UIA - Union of International Associations, engaged in similar rankings.
The Polish Tourism Organisation is a member of the meetings industry associations: the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and the Union of International Associations. (UIA)
Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organisation, together with the Polish Conference and Congress Association, for the second time conducted the competition for organising the largest congress in Poland in the previous year.
The Poland Convention Bureau PTO is the first Polish institution to be awarded with the "Accredited Destination Marketing Organization" certificate granted by DMAI (Destination Marketing Association International).
The starters for almost 1500 guests were served in only 9 minutes! It took almost 500 kilograms of duck to prepare the main dish. To handle the event 150 people were hired. There were professional cooks, waiters, bartenders, security guards and hostesses. 3 huge trucks transported tableware, porcelain and glassware.
On June 1- 2 in Novotel Centrum in Warsaw the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation (HOPE) conference took place. Over 200 European hospitals directors took part in this events.
The next edition of IMEX, the international meetings industry trade fair was held on 19-21 May in Frankfurt. As each year, Poland Convention Bureau of Polish Tourist Organisation has organised the Polish national booth, where regional Convention Bureaus, companies operating in the organisation of meetings and conference facilities presented their offers.
The Convention Industry Council (CIC) revealed the names of the 2015 inductees into the CIC Hall of Leaders and the 4th class of Pacesetter Award recipients. Kinga Socko, Conference Specialist, Poland Convention Bureau PTO is among three finalists Pacesetter Award.
Torun, one of the most beautiful cities in Poland, was founded in 1233 by the Teutonic Order. Torun Old Town presents an original spatial and architectural system that has existed for many centuries. In 1997, the city was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites because the gothic tenement houses, churches, granaries, town hall, defence walls, gates and street system, all look the same as hundreds of years ago.
As each year, the Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organization organizes the national stand for the international IMEX exhibition in Frankfurt (G460) to be held on 19 - 21 May.
On 16-20 March 2015, at the Conference Centre of the National Stadium, the Meetings Week Poland was held – a marathon of conference events promoting the importance of the meetings industry in Poland. Almost one thousand representatives of the meetings industry participated in the conferences and workshops as part of the Meetings Week Poland.
Between 16 and 20 March 2015, the „Meetings Week Poland“, one of the most important promotional events of the Polish industry of meetings organizers, will be held in the Conference Centre of the National Stadium. This is already the third edition of this event.
On 11-12 February this year, at the invitation of the Institute of International Relations of the University of Warsaw (ISM UW) and the Global Wings company, representatives of the World International Studies Committee (WISC) conducted a study visit in Warsaw.

Convention Bureau - Wrocław in cooperation with the Academia Europaea Knowledge Hub Wrocław had an opportunity to host members of the Wrocław Congress Ambassadors Program and members of Academia Europaea on a dinner which was held on 9th December 2014 in the Art Hotel.
