Recommended PCOs organized 600 business meetings and events in 2009

In 2009 Professional Congress Organizers, recommended by CBP, organized 600 business meetings and events. We present the data provided by fifteen PCOs who have the current recommendation of Convention Bureau of Poland Polish Tourist Organisation. This analysis is the first attempt to characterize the market for business meetings and events organized by recommended PCOs.

Business meetings and events held in nature: economy and politics, humanities, medicine and information and communication technologies. The largest group of meetings and events were: economy and politics (58%). The smallest number of meetings were: information and communication technologies (2%).

Among the meetings corporate events (62%) were dominated group. Another important group were congresses and conferences (24%) and incentive travel (11%). Trade fairs and exhibitions (3%) were the smallest number of meetings.

May (78) and April (69) were months, during which most business meetings and events were organized. January (28) was  the month with the smallest numbers of business meetings and events.

According to seasonality of the number of business meetings and events participants July and December ranked first with 38488 and 50544 participants. August took the last place with 1078 participants.
