The latest ranking published by ICCA has Poland in 21st place, which is a leap by 11 positions in comparison to 2010. According to ICCA’s studies Poland hosted 165 association meetings, which is 67 more than in the previous year. ICCA is the largest association carrying out research on the volume of the meetings industry in the context of association meetings. Never before has Poland been so high in this ranking!
ICCA’s publication is the best-known and most highly-esteemed report showing the size of the market. It is not just an incentive for destinations to develop, but also a factor in deciding which venue to choose for a meeting. We believe that this year’s result will bring more and more meetings to Poland, giving us higher places in the coming years.
ICCA bases its ranking on data collected on association meetings which
- take place regularly,
- involve at least 50 participants,
- migrate between at least 3 countries.
The Polish cities included in the ranking were
- Warsaw – 65 meetings
- Kraków – 40 meetings
- Gdańsk (along with Sopot and Gdynia) – 32 meetings
- Wrocław – 10 meetings
- Poznań – 8 meetings
