Next ICCA training in Gdańsk!

On 14 – 17.07.2010 in Vilnius (Lithuania) took place the ICCA Research, Sales and Marketing Programmeme, organised by ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association). In Vilnius met meeting industry representatives, both public and commercial sector: specialists and coordinators in Convention Bureaux, conference facilities and companies involved in the professional service of congresses and conferences. Poland was represented by Convention Bureau of Poland, Gdańsk Convention Bureau and Warsaw Convention Bureau representatives, who have jointly urged to visit Gdańsk in 2011, chosen as the place of next ICCA training.

The main points of the programme ICCA Research, Sales and Marketing Programmeme were:

• practical training in an online database ICCA;

• rules for the preparation of RFP;

• rules for the preparation of BIDs;

• rules for the preparation of FAM TRIP Programmes;

• the principle of negotiation with the customer;

• new directions in the meetings industry.

A significant part of the programme filled with practical workshops, direct discussions with representatives of the invited companies and exchange of experiences of the congress organised or planned among the participants under the Business Exchange session.

During the closing session of the meeting in Vilnius was a presentation of Gdańsk as a place for the next Conference of the ICCA Research, Sales and Marketing Programmeme in 2011, prepared by Gdańsk Convention Bureau, assisted by Convention Bureau of Poland.
