On 9-11 October 2012 Las Vegas hosted second edition of the international meetings industry trade show IMEX America. Organizers have confirmed that this is one of the most important exhibition in the field of meetings industry in terms of the number of buyers and the effectiveness of trade talks. The event was attended by more than 6 000 people from all over the world, including 2 400 hosted buyers from North America.
Partner of the Polish stands were Polish Airlines based in the United States. Jan Rudomina from Polish Tourist Office in New York has also gave his support for Polish presentation. Two other Polish companies were present at the trade show – Mazurkas Travel DMC and Select Poland. ICP Group has participated in the Hosted Buyers program.
Just as it is adopted at European fairs (IMEX and EIBTM), all exhibitors receive a schedule of business meetings with hosted buyers. Poland Convention Bureau POT within 3 days there has a total of 33 trade talks, which, due to debut can be evaluated as a success.
As part of the so-called Euro Party was organized lottery to which were entitled hosted buyers who visited all the European stand and gathered all Euro Stars in their passports. Voucher for flights and educational 3-day stay in Warsaw founded by Poland Convention Bureau PTO with LOT Polish Airlines has been passed into the hands of representative of Meetings and Incentive Travel in Houston, Texas, who is interested in the organization of three incentive trips to Poland in 2013 – 2014.
