On 10 May, a meeting was held to promote and encourage participation in the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme. The morning meeting along with the presentation preceded the academic symposium held at that time to commemorate the 40 years of existence of the Institute of Tourism. The meeting was attended by 20 guests, among them persons awarded with the title of the Honorary Polish Congress Ambassador in the previous years, and by potential candidates to that title.
The title of the Honorary Polish Congress Ambassador is a distinction for those who actively promote Poland as a place to hold meetings and conferences through activity in international associations. The Polish Ambassadors Programme is organised jointly by the Polish Tourist Organisation and the Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association, and its aim is to actively seek conferences for Poland.
