On 25th of September the Grand Theatre – National Opera hosted the Gala “Move Your Imagination” – meetings industry in the Polish Tourist Organisation’s promotional campaign. During the event, the activities taken to promote Polish meetings industry carried out under the project “Let’s Promote Poland Together” were summarized. It was also an excellent opportunity to summarize the activities of Poland Convention Bureau on the 10th anniversary of its founding.
Gala started with the press conference followed by the official opening ceremony by Katarzyna Sobierajska – Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the President of the Polish Tourist Organisation – Rafał Szmytke.
An important part of the Gala was awards ceremony “For contribution to the tourism” for people who have outstanding contribution to the popularization and development of the meetings industry. The award was given to:
- Prof. Janusz Lipkowski – Warsaw Scientific Society
- Prof. Marian Zembala – The Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze
- Andrzej Hulewicz –Mazurkas Travel
- Sławomir Wróblewski – The Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association
In addition, for the contribution to the development of Polish industry meetings were honored:
• Anna Górska – the President of Gdansk Tourist Organization, Gdańsk Convention Bureau
• Aneta Książek – Senior Specialist Conference, Poland Convention Bureau Polish Tourist Organisation
• Krzysztof Celuch – the Manager of Poland Convention Bureau Polish Tourist Organisation
A multimedia presentation summarizing 10 years of PCB PTO, which also launched the musical show combining electronic music with the sounds of drums, has introduced an artistic part of the ceremony. The complement of the artistic part was a surprising show of hand painting by Juicy Brand Color group.
We are pleased that this very important day for us we were able to celebrate together with representatives of industry and politics – people who contribute to the promotion of Polish industry meetings, and without which it wouldn’t be possible to implement the activities taken by the PCB PTO.
