Chengdu International Tourism Expo CITE 2017 is an excellent place to meet the tourism industry, tour operators, and the average citizen of the “Middle Kingdom”. Its exhibitors include the Polish Tourism Organization International Centre (Zagraniczny Ośrodek Polskiej Organizacji Turystycznej – ZOPOT) in Beijing, whose stand displays the merits and assets of the Polish tourist offer. The CITE fair is held for three days and remains the most important tourism sector event in Central-Western China. During the inauguration the ZOPOT stand welcomed Katarzyna Wilkowiecka, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Chengdu.

The first two days of Chengdu International Tourism Expo CITE 2017 are reserved exclusively for meetings between Chinese tour organizers and local and foreign exhibitors, mainly regional and national tourism organizations. The fair organizer presents each exhibitor with a binding schedule of meetings with representatives of Chinese tour operators interested in the offer. Day three is open to all residents of the People’s Republic of China interested in becoming acquainted with the tourist offers made by exhibitors.

It worth emphasizing that the leading motif of the Polish presentation involved Polish cities and their cultural offer. The region of Łódź and its capital, the latter being the terminal station of the Chengdu-Łódź railway line, inspired the decoration of the stand.
