One of the world’s biggest and most important TV stations — CNN — has counted Tarnów among Europe’s 15 most beautiful towns.

Tarnów

The CNN website has posted its original list of towns across Europe that the station considers the most beautiful. The authors underline that such small places also boast charming architecture and a rich cultural heritage, and you don’t have to elbow your way through crowds of other tourists to discover them. The list comprises 15 such places, from modest fishing villages to hilltop medieval fortresses. Tarnów in Poland is among them.

In Tarnów, the list’s author highlights the magnificent mixture of architectural styles to be seen in the Old Town Square. She also underlines that even though Tarnów is a city today, it’s enough to take a stroll in the Old Town to feel its historical, small-town character and find centuries-old buildings.
