The promotion of the Polish incoming tourism offer in Italy is underway. The schedule of intensive marketing activities undertaken by the International Office of the Polish Tourism Organisation in Rome has recently included workshops for the industry from the Apennine Peninsula. Italian agencies are increasingly keen to return to selling tours to our country.

As part of its intensive promotional activities targeting the Italian tourism industry, the PTO’s International Office in Rome participated in a workshop addressed mainly to travel agents from northern Italy. They were attended by industry representatives mainly from Lombardy but there was also interest from Piedmont and Tuscany.

The event was held in an innovative format that included a shared experience. In this case, such an experience was the ride on the red Bernina Express train along the scenic route from Tirano to St.  Moritz. That allowed the participants to have fruitful networking and casual business conversations both before and after the workshop itself, which took place in the resort of St.  Moritz.

This type of workshop is a new proposal of marketing activities in a post-pandemic reality but it is rapidly gaining popularity in the Italian market. They are valued for their capacity to provide an excellent atmosphere and space for business discussions. Despite the prevailing situation related to the war in Ukraine, the Italian industry is increasingly willing to return to talks about Polish tourist products and sales planning. JAN-POL Incoming was the industry partner of the Roman PTO office at the workshop.
