The 25th edition of the Borsa Mediterranea del Turismo trade fair took place in Naples, where we presented our country’s tourist offer. Southern Italy is an increasingly promising market for tourism to Poland. The Polish Tourism Organisation is using the existing favourable trend and strengthening promotional efforts in this area.

Between 18 and 20 March, the city of Naples saw the 25th edition of the Borsa Mediterranea del Turismo tourist fair, known under the acronym BMT. It is one of the most important industry events in central and southern Italy. The International Office of the Polish Tourism Organisation actively participated in the event and put together a rich stand. In cooperation with the Ivotrans tour operator, we presented attractive materials about Poland, provided practical information and promoted the Polish offer.

The Polish stand enjoyed a lot of interest and the presence of our team at the event was seen as a positive signal for the industry in today’s uncertain times. From the Polish perspective, southern Italy has recently emerged as a very promising market for incoming tourism. Over the last few years, we have seen a clear growing trend of trips to our country. This upward trend is the result of the intensive promotional efforts by POT and numerous air connections from various cities in the south of Italy to Poland.
