POT a Partner of Third Chopin Festival in the Netherlands

Koncert na Festiwalu Chopinowskim w Amsterdamie

The Polish Tourism Organisation (POT) was a partner of the third edition of the Chopin Festival in the Netherlands. This event promoting Polish culture is a perfect complement to image-building activities popularising Poland as a tourist destination with a rich heritage.

Concert at the Chopin Festival in Amsterdam

In late autumn, Amsterdam hosted Chopin Stichting Nederland’s third Chopin Festival; the Polish Tourism Organisation is a major partner in this project. The festival has been held regularly since 2018 in successive Dutch cities (The Hague, Groningen, Amsterdam).

Over the festival’s four days, concert halls resounded with the music of Poland’s most famous composer. This year Chopin’s music filled the space of the Uilenburgersjoel, a former synagogue in the centre of Amsterdam. Audiences enjoyed concerts played by musicians of different nationalities, including young Polish pianist Joanna Różewska.

The music evenings were supplemented by a stand promoting Poland, prepared by the Polish Tourism Organisation and offering brochures, bags decorated with Chopin-related prints, and Polish sweets.

Events promoting Polish culture are a perfect complement to image-building activities popularising Poland as a tourist destination with a rich historical and cultural heritage. The Polish Tourism Organisation plans to continue its successful collaboration with Chopin Stichting Nederland in the coming years.
