From 18 to 20 May, the 27th edition of the Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition – KIHE – was held in Almaty. It is the largest event bringing together the sectors of medical research , business, tourism and pharmaceuticals in the Central Asian region.

For the first time in the history of the “Go To Brand” project, the Polish Tourism Organisation promoted our country as a health destination in that part of the world. At our national stand, visitors could get acquainted with folders, brochures and other materials containing information about medical entities, their specialisations and other issues relevant to foreign patients.

More than 200 exhibitors from 11 countries participated in this year’s KIHE. The visitors included doctors, clinic managers, medical equipment distributors and individual customers looking for health advice and attractive destinations for health-oriented travel. Visitors to the Polish stand were particularly interested in oncological treatment, neurosurgical procedures, rehabilitation and orthopaedic procedures. Visitors from Kazakhstan also asked about the prices of specific services, the possibility and conditions for obtaining a visa, and support in transport to Poland.
