Uczestnicy seminarium w Fidenzie

A seminar on religious and cultural tourism took place in Italy. POT took the opportunity to promote, among others, pilgrimage routes, places associated with John Paul II, UNESCO listed monuments, and our country’s gastronomic heritage.

Participants of the seminar in Fidenz

Religious and cultural tourism were the main themes of the seminar organised by the Michel Tours tour operator in the city of Fidenza, which lies in the region of Emilia-Romagna. The event partners were the Polish Tourism Organisation and the Lithuanian Embassy in the Italian Republic.

Held for entities from the tourism industry, the seminar was attended by around 50 tour operators and pilgrimage tour operators from all over Northern Italy.

Director of the POT International Office in Rome Barbara Minczewa delivered a comprehensive presentation on Polish tourist sites. The areas promoted included tourist attractions, pilgrimage routes, John Paul II sites (including natural attractions), UNESCO World Heritage sites, and our country’s gastronomic heritage.

The presentation was very warmly welcomed, and the first publications on the subject have already appeared in the local media.
