Polish Constitution Day celebrations in Brussels

Polish Tourism Organisation was a partner of the Brussels celebrations of the 227th Anniversary of the 3 May Constitution.

In addition to Polish Touris

m Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT), particular regions were also involved in organizing the celebrations. The discussed event was held in the Gothic and wedding halls of the Town Hall on the Grand Place in Brussels. The ceremony was attended by numerous guests, including members of diplomatic corps, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Belgian politicians, mayors of cities liberated by soldiers of the 1st Polish Armoured Division commanded by General Maczek, officials of EU institutions and NATO, as well as journalists. Artur Orzechowski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Belgium, opened the event.

A culinary highlight involved a table laden with quintessentially Polish cuisine representing each of the country’s regions. Guests admired the unique sękacz spit cakes from Podlasie, gingerbread from Kuyavia, homemade preserves from the area of Łódź, mushroom dishes and fish appetizers. Connoisseurs certainly appreciated the recipe of the Goldwasser liqueur from Gdańsk.  Everyone received gift baskets filled with Polish regional delicacies and travel vouchers to Poland.
