Poland’s wintertime highlights promoted in Vienna

Polish Tourism Organisation in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Vienna hosted the latest presentation dedicated to “Poland and its wintertime highlights”. The event staged on 19 November showcased “Winter in Poland – the Polish mountains”.

The meeting was held in the seat of the Polish Institute in the Austrian capital. Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) arranged and displayed a multimedia presentation about mountains, skiing trails and Christmas fairs in major Polish cities. In addition, POT set up an informational booth and, in cooperation with the Polish Institute, prepared refreshments for guests attending the event, which attracted, i.a. delegates of the industry, trade media and the Polish community.

Expressing his thanks for the intriguing presentation, Rafał Sobczak, head of the Polish Institute in Vienna, introduced a programme of its operations for the nearest future and drew guests’ attention to the “Kraków nativity scene” exhibition staged by the Museum of Kraków at Altwiener Christkindlmarkt in Vienna, an exhibition of Kraków nativity scenes in a gallery of the Institute in Vienna, as well as the opening of Władysław Moniuszko’s Halka opera at Theater an der Wien.
