Poland’s promotion at Ferie Messe Wien 2020

Polish Tourism Organisation came back for its annual visit at Austria’s international Ferien Messe Wien trade fair. The promotion of Poland was focused on tourist highlights, regional cuisine and enotourism.

The Vienna-based Ferie Messe Wien show was held in one of Europe’s most advanced exhibition centres on 16-19 January. Staged by Reed Exhibition Messe Wien, for several years now the event has involved a car show presenting the latest products of top manufacturers, Bike Village Vienna, and the Genusswelt culinary fair.

Already on the first day open to the public, POT’s International Office in Vienna staged Happy Hours attended by invited media and travel industry representatives. The Polish stand also featured a tasting session of wines from the Tarnów region along with a presentation of its vineyards and a show dedicated to Silesian cuisine.

The Polish national stand showcased the tourist offer of, i.a. Tarnów, Świnoujście, Zabrze, Bielsko-Biała, Euroregion Beskidy, Pieniny Mountains, Dolny Śląsk (Lower Silesia) and Wrocław.

The trade show attracted 800 exhibitors from 80 countries and 160,000 visitors exploring the presented offers. Boasting a brand-new visual makeover arranged by Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT), Poland’s national stand was very well received by visitors and attracted much attention among industry partners and travel business media.
