Active tourism and city breaks promoted at the DITEX fair in Marseille

Polska reprezentacja na targach DITEX w Marsylii

The Polish Tourism Organisation has promoted the offer of active tourism and city break trips at the 17th DITEX fair in Marseilles. The French give special recognition to our openness, hospitality and the increasingly recognisable Polish cuisine.

After two years of hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, DITEX trade fairs were held in Marseille. This marks the 17th edition of this event, considered the most important springtime tourism event on the French market. This year, five thousand visitors came to the fair and saw the offer of 120 exhibitors.

Several representatives of our tourism industry were present at the stand of the Polish Tourism Organisation: Promenada, Jan-Pol, 4Travel and Destination Pologne, as well as the LOT Polish Airlines. This year, the main theme of the promo efforts was the offer of active tourism and city breaks.

The south of France is an important area for marketing efforts for POT when it comes to the French market, which has to do with the wide range of air connections to Poland from Marseille and Nice. Our country is highly valued, not only for reasons related to traditional tourist attractions, but also for the positive image of the local population. It is the openness and hospitality of Poles, as well as good regional cuisine and natural attractions, that gain a lot of recognition, too.

The appeal of Kraków has also been increasing recently. We owe it to the popularity of the new Netflix production, Cracow Monsters, which is getting high ratings and generating interest in the capital of Małopolska.
