A state of emergency in Poland – a ban on entry to Poland for foreigners

Poland is entering a state of emergency with all international arrivals banned from 23:00 GMT tomorrow.

In order to limit the spread of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID – 19 ), the Polish government has decided to enter a state of emergency. Starting March 14 at 23:00, Poland will close its borders to all international arrivals for the next 10 days. 

All Polish citizens who are currently abroad can return to Poland. This restriction does not apply to spouses and children of Polish citizens, citizens granted so – called “Karta Polaka” (Polish Chart), citizens having temporary leave to remain or citizens having indefinite leave to remain. All foreign citizens entering Poland will be quarantined for 14 days.
All international flights and train services are suspended. From the 14th of March onwards, all shopping store operation is limited to the minimum. Grocery stores, drug stores and dry cleaners will operate as usual.

Pubs, restaurants, clubs, bars and casinos are temporarily closed. They are only allowed to do food delivery. No customer is allowed to be on the premises. This temporary closure can be expanded. Gyms, swimming pools, dancing clubs, museums, libraries, and cinemas are all closed.

All public gatherings (outdoor and indoor) must be limited to 50 people. This applies to all public events and religious gatherings.
