60th anniversary of Society of Polish American Travel Agents

SPATA, the oldest and possibly only organization associating representatives of the Polish tourism industry residing in the United States and Canada, met for a Jubilee Ball in Totowa, New Jersey on 21 April 2018. The event served as an opportunity to congratulate and thank for the cooperation up to now.

Also initiated by SPATA, a presentation promoting Poland as a travel destination was held at the Polish Consulate in New York on 23 April 2018. Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) and LOT Polish Airlines were among the partners of the event attended by more than 80 representatives of the tourism industry and the media.

The participation of Polish Tourism Organisation in the Business Mixer, co-organised by the Department of Trade and Investments of Consulate General in New York, also deserves to be mentioned. This particular presentation was aimed at the community of successful female entrepreneurs of Polish descent, who implement all types of business projects.

Finally, as part of initiatives targeting the discussed sector, Polish Tourism Organisation and LOT Polish Airlines took part in the 2018 Spring Travel Trade Show. Organised by the Travel Agents of Brooklyn & Staten Island association, the event was attended by 90 industry professionals.
