Polska reprezentacja na targach FITUR

The Polish Tourism Organisation won the Best Stand Award at the 2022 FITUR International Tourism Fair. The Polish stand was recognised for its creative presentation of the offer and the professionalism of our tourism industry.

Polish representation at the FITUR fair

For the first time in history, Poland has been honoured with the award for the Best Stand at the FITUR International Tourism Fair in Madrid. The Polish stand had been prepared by the Polish Tourism Organisation. The award acknowledged all those involved in the organisation as well as the exhibitors who jointly had contributed to the creation of an attractive stall which stood out among others, also thanks to its good atmosphere. The organisers appreciated not only an attractive presentation of Polish offer but also the professionalism of the Polish tourism industry. The award ceremony will be held in Madrid in several months.

At the FITUR 2022, the Polish Tourism Organisation prepared a large, 369 feet long stand, at which 11 exhibitors – Polish cities, regions and tour operators – presented their offer. Representatives of such cities as Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław and Lublin as well as regions such as Lesser Poland Voivodship and Lower Silesia were present. The event was a great opportunity to promote tourism in Spanish-speaking markets. In addition to re-establishing business contacts, participating in the fair strengthened Poland’s image as a stable and credible destination both among the industry and in the eyes of those visiting the event.

As every year, the FITUR 2022 was held in Madrid. This year the event returned to its customary January dates and went on for four days, from 19 to 23 January. The Madrid fair is a global event, considered the third most important event of its kind in the world, after Berlin’s ITB and London’s WTM. After the hiatus caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the exhibitors from outside Europe, especially from the Latin American tourism industry, are gradually returning to the event.
