Invited by the Polish Tourism Organisation, the crew of the PBS travel show, Family Travel with Colleen Kelly, came to visit Poland. The Polish episode will present our country as an interesting destination for family tourism.
Family Travel with Colleen Kelly is a show focused on the issue of family travel. The host, Colleen Kelly, together with her husband and children, visits the most beautiful corners of the world. The Polish episode will present our country as an interesting destination for family tourism. The conditions for it are perfect – Poland is safe, centrally located and naturally diverse. It offers attractions for the whole family, including world-class historical monuments, UNESCO-listed sites, castles and palaces, amusement parks and interesting museums offering a lesson in European history. Visitors from the US also appreciate the price advantage. Those are the assets which will be presented in the episode shot in Poland.
Some of the shooting locations included Kraków, Wieliczka, Zakopane, Szczawnica as well as Pieniny and Tatra National Parks. In addition to showcasing various landscapes and attractions for the whole family, the episode will present Polish culture, cuisine and health resorts.
Family Travel with Colleen Kelly will be shown on PBS, a channel which reaches 19.6 million viewers in 94% of the United States. On average, 1.5 million people tune in to watch an episode. The shoot will also be an opportunity to get video footage for the National Geographic portal.
In organising the visit, the Polish Tourism Organisation worked hand in hand with, among others, the LOT Polish Airlines, the city of Kraków, the Małopolska Tourist Organisation and the resort of Szczawnica.
