Thanks to the “Best of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia & Hungary” product, the Poznań-based Funclub Sp. z o. o. travel agency became the gold winner of the Marco Polo Tourism Award for its 2019 cooperation with the Chinese market.

International jury recognized the tourist product’s superior accomplishment of the goal of showcasing local history, tradition and culture to Chinese tourists staying in at least three out of 17 destinations in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Marco Polo Tourism Award was founded in 2019 to appreciate the contribution made by tourism stakeholders hailing from 17 CEE countries to develop the best joint tourist product aimed at the Chinese market.

Its latest edition also distinguished Sheraton Grand Warsaw, which received the Marco Polo Honorary Mention presented to top hotel venues featuring special services targeting Chinese guests. The numerous improvements introduced by Sheraton Grand Warsaw in 2019 earned it the highly prestigious recognition.

189,000 Chinese guests, including 161,000 leisure travellers, visited Poland in 2019.

The Warsaw CT Poland travel agency and its “East European Concerto Tours” product took second place (silver diploma) in last year’s first edition of the Award.
