The international MATKA fair in Helsinki involved delegates of Polish Tourism Organisation International Office in Stockholm, who arranged the Polish national stand. Special attention was paid to the promotion of the Pomorskie voivodeship (Pomerania), with representatives of Gdańsk and Sopot in attendance. In addition, the Kraków Municipality team discussed the assets and must-sees of our country, with special emphasis on the region of Małopolska.

Furthermore, the Polish national stand staff offered information about group and individual travel. Employees of Finland’s recognized Poltravel Oy travel agency, whose portfolio includes tourist trips to Poland, made sure to answer all relevant inquiries. Finally, visitors to the stand arranged by Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) could also meet the team of eTravel S.A. travel agency.

Last but not least, the Polish-Finnish Society also updated MATKA guests about Poland’s tourist offer and the cultural events staged in our country. One of the most active institutions of its kind to operate in Finland, it boasts a rich history spanning more than 90 years.

According to its organisers, the fair achieved record-breaking attendance figures. Over four days, the MATKA Nordic Travel Fair in Helsinki was visited by 68,300 participants, approx. 4,000 more than its previous edition.
