The already 16th edition of the annual meeting of Polish and Russian tourist industry is now over. This year 33 delegates of Russian travel agencies from, i.a. Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Smolensk, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg visited the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region.

The first part of their stay showcased the medicinal-rehabilitative potential boasted by the renowned health resorts of Inowrocław and Ciechocinek, convincing guests that the offer of the two towns can be successfully applied for the purposes of potential patients from Russia. Successive days focused on Toruń and, most of all, attendance in tourist workshops with more than 40 representatives of the Polish tourism sector.

During the workshop’s opening ceremony, both sides emphasised the impressive potential of the discussed region from the perspective of attracting eastern tourists. Irina Tyurina, Russian Union of Travel Industry, drew attention to the growing number of Russians who recently travelled to Poland for tourist purposes. This trend is influenced by the numerous promotional campaigns conducted in the Russian market by Polish Tourism Organisation.

The list of partners of ETO POLSHA! included Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Tourist Organisation, City Council of Toruń, City Council of Inowrocław, Kujawy Local Tourist Organisation, Uzdrowisko Ciechocinek and Hotel Copernicus in Toruń.
