Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna – POT) launched the online application E-Certification of Tourist Information on the platform of a portal it administers. It is available at https://www.pot.gov.pl/pl/dzialalnosc/certyfikacja-it

The application was developed to handle the process of Certifying Tourist Information, that is the process of verifying and assessing units providing tourist information services (tourist information stands and centres) on the scale of one to four stars, following a previously defined and transparent set of criteria. The electronic tool is trailblazing both in Poland and the whole of Europe.

In this manner Polish Tourism Organisation responds to the need of facilitating the method of certification as part of the development of the Polish System of Tourist Information. The created program is intended to support the procedure by organising the processing, evaluation and circulation of applications in an exclusively electronic mode.

Tourist information stands or centres throughout the country voluntarily request to become involved in the Tourist Information Certification process implemented by Polish Tourism Organisation in cooperation with regional tourism organisations. All details connected with the E-Certification of Tourism Information can be found in Terms & Conditions available at www.pot.gov.pl/pl/dzialalnosc/certyfikacja-it.

Polish Tourism Organisation wishes to make the Certification process optimally efficient by 31 December 2018 so that the standardisation of Tourist Information units can become unified all across Poland in a similar time frame.
