Summary of Warsaw’s #TylkoRazem project

The #TylkoRazem (OnlyTogether) hashtag dominated not only Warsaw social media in the first half of December. The social media campaign in the form of a dialogue involved members of Warsaw Tourism Organisaton (Warszawska Organizacja Turystyczna – WOT). Posts tagged with #TylkoRazem showcase the new offer of restaurants, museums and hotels adapted to the current sanitary regime.

#OnlyTogether we will be able to rebuild Warsaw’s tourism market. Only mutual care and support will make it possible to preserve the structure that both local residents and guests visiting our city have already grown accustomed to. We need to act together to even start thinking about building Warsaw’s new and improved competitive position. The past year has unquestionably been one of the most difficult periods in which all of us had to operate – both on a purely human and social and economic level. For the last 9 months Warsaw Tourism Organisation has gone to great efforts to arrange all types of actions intended to support businesses making up our association: on an ongoing basis we have shared knowledge and information on governmental and municipal support schemes, actively lobbied for their expansion and the inclusion of successive overlooked sectors, arranged and attended numerous consultation meetings, as well as – whenever possible – intervened to bring attention to most affected representatives of Warsaw’s tourism and culture. No one was overlooked as we believe that tourism, especially in major destinations, is a system of communicating vessels and its successful performance requires the involvement of all stakeholders and beneficiaries. We are also planning to continue this cooperation in 2021”, declares the Warsaw Tourism Organisation team behind #TylkoRazem.

WOT members involved in the project were entrusted with the task of taking a photo or filming a video and then posting it on Facebook with a description of a given place, highlight or venue and its current offer that responds to new expectations matched to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Warsaw Tourism Organisation associates businesses operating in the capital’s broadly defined tourism industry (tourism organisers, event agencies, hotels, conference venues, cultural institutions, restaurants). One of its key goals is to support Warsaw’s promotion as a tourism and business/conference destination by creating tourism products in cooperation with WOT members. A section of Warsaw Tourism Organisation, Warsaw Convention Bureau is responsible for securing international conferences and congresses hosted by the capital.
