PCB POT collecting data for its 2022 report

The beginning of the year is a time for summaries, including the statistical ones. Like every year in January, Poland Convention Bureau POT, in cooperation with municipal and regional Convention Bureaux, has been collecting data for the Poland Meetings & Events Industry Report. It will already be the 13th edition of the publication whose goal is to define the size of the market of meetings and events in Poland, marking yet another year in the Covid-19 pandemic.

Among the tasks carried out by marketing offices in order to create a positive image of a specific location and build a competitive advantage is the integration of the industry and the acquisition and analysis of data for research and reporting. Efficiently collected statistic data are an indispensable source of knowledge and a tool for promoting a given city, region or country as a place with professional facilities for meetings and events.
The data collected for 2021 will allow to examine  the market in economic aspects, to identify the specifics of hybrid and virtual meetings, and be a reference to changes and a return to normality in future years. In addition, the data collected for the Poland Meetings & Events Industry Report will be made available to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) as well as the Union of International Associations (UIA) for their annual reports.
We hope that the results will show new trends and help to identify future activities to effectively attract business meeting organisers to Poland. As is the custom, the report will be published in its entirety in the second half of the year.
