During the MICE & Business Travel Event gala held on Decmber 11th  in Amsterdam, Krakow was recognised as ‘MICE Trendy Destination 2014’.

‘Krakow is increasingly often visited by tourists from the Netherlands. The most recent studies of tourist traffic demonstrate a double increase in the number of guests from the Netherlands as compared to the previous year*,’ says Magdalena Sroka, Deputy Mayor of Krakow, who met a day before with several dozen Dutch tour operators at the conference ‘Move Your Imagination – Eye on Poland’ organised by the Polish Tourist Organisation in Amsterdam.

‘KLM is launching a direct flight connection with Amsterdam; Krakow has been presented with the prestigious Zoover award for the best city trip destination in 2014; a modern conference centre has been established. All these events had to bring effects.’ These words of satisfaction were expressed by Andrzej Pawluszek, Deputy Director of the Foreign Centre of the Polish Tourist Organisation in Amsterdam, who received the award together with Dominika Szulc, Director of the Foreign Centre of the Polish Tourist Organisation in Amsterdam, during the MICE & Business Travel Event gala.

The capital of Małopolska carried out active promotion on the Dutch market. Together with the Polish Tourist Organisation it organises study visits for representatives of the tourist industry, journalists and bloggers; it attends tourist fairs and presentations for the industry.
