Jubilee edition of Energy Congress under honorary patronage of Polish Prime Minister

The fifth edition of Energy Congress to take place in Wrocław on 25-26 September will involve representatives of Poland’s largest energy companies and industry leaders hailing from all over Europe. The event will be staged under the honorary patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers.

This will be the fifth edition of Energy Congress, which provides an opportunity for key industry representatives to meet and discuss, i.a. Poland’s energy policy, electro mobility and the latest energy innovations. The jubilee Congress is distinguished by honorary patronage of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who will participate in one of the panel discussions. The event also owes its prominence to patronages granted by Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment and embassies of the Kingdom of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Great Britain.

In addition to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the list of speakers also includes, i.a. Magnus Hall, President and CEO of Vattenfall; Olav Myklebust, Ambassador of Norway to Poland; Mikael Lemstrom, President of Fortum Power and Heat Polska, as well as Saulius Bilys, CEO & Director of AB Amber Grid. Panel speakers and congress participants will adress, i.a. Poland’s new energy policy, the development of renewable energy sources, the potential and conditions of energy storage, electro mobility and innovations. Moreover, the organisers also intend to take a closer look at issues related to the ways in which hydrogen can be applied in the process of decarbonization and global energy transformation. The event is expected to be attended by approx. 400 delegates.

According to the Lower Silesian Institute for Energy Studies, Energy Congress is the most important industry event of the year and draws prominent experts from Poland and Europe. It is worth adding that the Congress Programme Council involves, i.a. Michał Kurtyka, Secretary of State with Ministry of Environment, Maciej Bando, President of Energy Regulatory Office, Marcin Chludziński, President of the Management Board with KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., as well as Professor Jan Szmidt, PhD, DSc,  Rector of Warsaw University of Technology.

Tauron Polska Energia S.A. and KGHM Polska Miedź S.A are the strategic partners of the 5th Energy Congress. The list of partners also includes PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A., Griffin Group Energy, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A.

5th Energy Congress will be staged in Hotel Novotel Centrum in Wrocław on 25-26 September.
